About this piece
A fuller version of our butterfly hanging. The wings are worked in a denser stitch in bright purple with a white scalloped edge, and the white bow at the centre is larger and sits proud of the wings.
What sets it apart are the trails: two long vines, one purple and one white, each carrying a run of small crocheted flowers all the way down. They move properly in a breeze, which is why it looks best hung somewhere with a little air.
Shown here hanging outdoors, but it is made for indoors — sustained sun will fade the purple over a season.
